Our Story

Ragazzo's officially opened on April 24^th, 2018 and is owned and operated by Executive Chef Gerald Chiarito and Marcel Bourdase. Ragazzo is Italian for guys or fellas and has a special place in Chef Gerald's heart. Chef Gerald was the original owner and founder of Goodfellas at the Galleria which opened in 2001. We are excited to be offering Chef Gerald's mouth watering Italian recipes once again at the Galleria in downtown Fresno as Ragazzo's.

Executive chef and co-owner Gerald Chiarito was born and raised in Fresno. Chef Gerald has over 29 years' experience in the food industry. He began his cooking career in Newport Beach while attending UC Irvine and became a certified chef while working in Las Vegas.

Food is what he loves and it has been a lifelong passion. Chef Gerald believes in using only Fresno local ingredients in all of his dishes. His goal when he steps foot into the kitchen, is to create a tasty, fresh meal you will undoubtedly enjoy. His commitment to his food, has helped him establish long lasting relationships with his clients.

Chef Gerald now lives in Clovis, California. He is happily married to his wife Darla and a proud father to daughter Juliana and son Joseph. When he's not cooking, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
